Paul is a contemporary wildlife artist, illustrator, cartoonist, author, and co-owner of Gallery 317 in Bryan, Ohio. His artwork blends realism with whimsy, capturing the beauty, personality, and spirit of wildlife through imaginative compositions that invite viewers to pause, smile, and see the natural world from a fresh perspective.
Drawing from a lifetime of observation, storytelling, and artistic exploration, Paul's paintings celebrate the connection between humans and nature. Whether portraying a curious fox, a watchful owl, or a majestic bear, his work balances technical precision with a playful narrative quality that sparks conversation and wonder.
Before dedicating himself full-time to art, Paul served as a firefighter, officer, and instructor, beginning his fire service career in 1995. The leadership lessons, discipline, and human experiences gained throughout that journey continue to influence both his creative work and his approach to life. In addition to his visual art, Paul is the author of three books, a USO volunteer entertainer, leadership advisor, and keynote speaker.
As the owner of Gallery 317, Paul is committed to fostering a vibrant arts community, supporting fellow artists, and creating opportunities for people to engage with original artwork. Through his paintings, gallery, writing, and speaking, he hopes to inspire curiosity, encourage meaningful connections, and remind others of the joy, humor, and beauty that surround us every day.
